MLB’s Opening Day takes place today

After a delay due to a off season strike, the 2022 season begins today. The Cincinnati Reds open their season with a lot of new faces against the defending champion Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Other action: Albert Pujols will make his 22nd consecutive Opening Day start as designated hitter as the St. Louis Cardinals welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright will start on the bump today for the Cardinals while the Bucs will counter with JT Brubaker.

The Chicago Cubs open the season in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field against the Milwaukee Brewers. Kyle Hendricks will get the ball for the Cubbies while the Brew Crew will counter with fellow right-hander Corbin Burnes.
