WKU’s Diuguid gets pitching win Tuesday, Austin Peay and Murray State lose

Murray State rallied from an early 5-1 deficit to tie Southern Illinois 5-5 in the ninth, but saw the Salukis score three times in the top of the 11th to win 8-5 Tuesday. The Racers are now 15-12 and head to Southeast Missouri for an Ohio Valley Conference series starting Friday.

Austin Peay was routed by 16th ranked Vanderbilt 12-2 in Nashville last night. The Governors fall to 10-20 and begin a three game OVC series Friday at UT Martin.

Western Kentucky rallied from a five run deficit to defeat Belmont 9-8 Tuesday. Former Christian County pitcher Lane Diuguid got his first win of the season for the Hilltoppers who are now 11-17 on the season. WKU welcomes Florida International beginning Friday in Bowling Green.
