UK’s Tshiebwe wins Wooden Award, announces he will test NBA Draft waters

Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe made it a clean sweep of the major awards Tuesday in winning the John R. Wooden Award, given to the nation’s best college basketball player. Tshiebwe won top honor from The Sporting News, the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the Associated Press , the United States Basketball Writers Association and the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame. He’s the 28th player since 1977 and the first UK player to win all six honors in the same season.

Tshiebwe also announced he is going to explore heading to the NBA and added he will make a prayerful decision on whether to move on or come back to the Wildcats.
