Two injured in early morning I-24 accident

Two Georgia residents were injured in a rear-end collision early Wednesday morning on I-24 in Christian County.

The collision report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office says both vehicles were eastbound near the 83 mile-marker about 12:45 a.m. when an automobile driven by Reneco Joseph of Nashville struck the rear of a car operated by Kimberly Hanner of Hogansville, Georgia.

Hanner’s car then spun out of control and overturned in the median.

Joseph told deputies she had been in the left lane and the collision happened as she merged into the right lane.

Hanner and her passenger, Brian Hanner, were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
