Jobs Fest coming up for graduating seniors who plan to enter workforce

As part of an overall effort to help graduating high school seniors with transition into the workforce, the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council is partnering with other organizations on what’s being called Jobs Fest 2022.

It’s set for April 28 at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex and organizers say companies interested in signing up to showcase open positions and career opportunities to soon-to-be-graduates can call Tony Prim at 270-885-1499 or email tprim@southwesternky.com.

Jobs Fest 2022 is a partnership between the EDC, West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board, regional chambers of commerce, area school systems, the Pennryile Industrial Managers Association, and Society of Human Resource Managers-WKY.

Brittney Greenwood is the human resources manager at Freudenberg Filtration and says, “We are looking forward to attending Jobs Fest 2022 to showcase our company and career opportunities.  We are confident young people will find advanced manufacturing and related fields to be challenging and rewarding career paths that provide tremendous opportunities to successfully launch their careers after high school.”
