Two of the storied programs in the nation square off in the national championship game tonight in New Orleans as Kansas faces North Carolina. Kansas punched its ticket after dispatching Villanova in the semifinals while North Carolina upset Duke. North Carolina last won a national title in 2017 while Kansas has not won a national championship since 2008.
South Carolina won this year’s NCAA Women’s Final Four. The top-seeded Gamecocks defeated the second-seeded UConn Huskies 64-49 in the national championship game last night in Minneapolis. South Carolina won its second national title, with the other coming in 2017.
