Library hosting children’s activities each morning for spring break

It’s spring break and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is hosting activities each day for youngsters staying in the city this week.

There is an event each morning at 10 o’clock and Library Executive Director DeeAnna Sova says Tuesday will feature bubbles, chalk and other outdoor activities for children of all ages, while story time and crafts makes up the Wednesday schedule.

Thursday is Nature Day for children of all ages and Friday will feature several activities.

The week concludes Saturday morning at 9:30 with a chess tournament for children ages 5 and up and you must register in advance to participate.

Meanwhile, the Western Kentucky Blood Center and Christian County Imagination Library will combine forces Tuesday from noon until 4 p.m. on a blood drive at the library and the blood center will donate $5 to the Imagination Library for every donor who participates.
