Unemployment fell from January to February in all nine Pennyrile counties and the rates were also lower than one year ago.
Christian County’s February jobless rate was 4.8 percent, down from 5.1 percent in January and from 5.6 percent in February of 2021. It equated to 1,200 people who were looking for work and unable to find it.
Todd County was tied for the second-lowest unemployment rate in Kentucky at an even 3 percent, down from 3.3 percent in January and from 3.5 percent one year ago.
The jobless rate in Trigg County was 4.6 percent, down from 4.7 percent in January and 5.4 percent in February of last year.
Muhlenberg County had the Pennyrile region’s highest unemployment rate at 6.1 percent.
