The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville and Hopkinsville Community College dedicated several rooms in honor of individuals who have dedicated time and funds to the betterment of college students.
Four rooms were dedicated in the blue Academic Building honoring those generous donors Tuesday afternoon with a meeting of the club on campus. HCC President and CEO Alissa Young says the partnership between the college and the Hopkinsville Rotary Club is unlike any other, dedicated to aiding their students.
She says thanks to the generosity of not just Rotarians, but to the community as a whole, millions of dollars have been raised in support of that cause.
Rick Paxton says they’re grateful for Hopkinsville Community College and it is an investment that benefits the community as a whole.
The dedicated rooms were named in honor of Bill and Kaye Munday—Hopkinsville Rotary Scholars Campaign, in memory of Beth Ratliff Venable—Hopkinsville Rotary Scholars Campaign , in honor of Christopher Paxton, Gift from Rick and Anne Paxton—Hopkinsville Rotary Scholars Campaign and in honor of Elizabeth Paxton, Gift from Rick and Anne Paxton—Hopkinsville Rotary Scholars Campaign.
