Woman arrested for burglary, felony auto theft

An arrest warrant for burglary and auto theft was served Thursday night against a Hopkinsville woman.

It alleges that on Sunday, 48-year old Yvette Simpson of Hopkinsville entered the victim’s home and took his car keys and drove off with his car.

A domestic violence order was in place since October of last year barring Simpson from making contact with the victim.

Simpson allegedly sent a text to the victim saying she had his car and was not going to give it back.

Simpson is charged with second-degree burglary, felony auto theft and violation of a DVO.
