Hopkinsville took an early 4-1 lead and cruised to an 8-3 win over Franklin Simpson. Preston Chadouin had two of the Tigers six hits which included a double and also picked up the pitching win for Hopkinsville now 1-2 on the season. The Tigers host Paducah Tilghman Saturday afternoon at 2 pm.
Heritage Christian edged Trigg County 8-7. The Warriors are now 3-0 against KHSAA competition and host Union County in a doubleheader at noon tomorrow.
