Duke is moving on while two one-seeds are going home in the NCAA Tournament. Duke won one for Coach K to punch its ticket to the Elite Eight after defeating Texas Tech 78-73 in the West Regional. Elsewhere, two one seeds are seeing their dreams dashed before their own eyes as top-seed Gonzaga lost 74-68 to Arkansas in the West Region and one-seed Arizona fell 72-60 to Houston in the South Region where Villanova topped Michigan 63-55.
Tonight, 15-seed Saint Peter’s will look to continue to capture the heart of a nation as it aims to upend three-seed Purdue as the Sweet 16 continues. Also on tap, one-seed Kansas will face Providence, UCLA will battle North Carolina, and Iowa State faces Miami.
Women’s: Middle Tennessee ended Vanderbilt’s run in the WNIT with a 55-53 last second victory. The Commodores conclude the season 16-19.
