While the Christian County Health Department reported only 11 new COVID-19 cases since last week, there were four deaths that were discovered in an audit of the state reporting system.
According to a news release, those four victims were a 90-year-old female from September of 2021, an 80-year-old male who passed away in November 2021, a 62-year-old male from February 2022 and an 81-year-old female from February 2022. All four individuals are listed as unvaccinated. They bringing the death toll in Christian County up to 188.
The 11 new cases, which do not include at-home COVID tests, puts the case total overall at 17,149—of that, only 14 cases are considered active and 16,947 people have recovered from the virus.
