The 72nd WHOP Rotary Radio Auction is set to kick off on April 18 and while there’s no set goal, they’re looking to raise as much as possible to benefit local students in their efforts to further their education.
Andrew Wilson is the Auction Chair this year and set a theme of “A Volunteer Tradition”, saying it’s a play on who he is as a person and what the club does for the community.
He says the auction will go from April 18 through April 23 and will start promptly at 6 p.m. each night, with the majority of those nights wrapping at 9 p.m., but Friday and Saturday will go later into the evening.
Wilson says local businesses can expect to see a Rotarian sometime soon—if you haven’t already—looking for a donation to go towards the cause.
The auction will begin at 6 p.m. each night and it will again air on Lite Rock 98.7 and online at lite987whop.com. All of the popular auction attractions will be back, including the diner, Boston butts and sweet shop, with some new possible food items on the menu.
