Richard Street murder suspect arraigned in Circuit Court

The man accused in the fatal shooting of Gregory Burse on Richard Street in February was arraigned in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.

Daron Bell appeared virtually before Judge Andrew Self, who accepted a not guilty plea on his behalf and set a pretrial conference for May 18, telling Bell his attorney will meet with him soon to go over evidence.

Hopkinsville police say Bell admitted to shooting 36-year old Gregory Burse in the upper torso at 607 Richard Street early Wednesday morning. Burse was pronounced dead at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and Bell was soon arrested at another location.
