Vanderbilt got by top seeded Dayton 70-68 in overtime in the second round of the NIT in Nashville. Scotty Pippen, Jr. had 32 points to lead the Commodres, now 19-16, meet Xavier in the quarterfinals.
Women’s Scores: Karle Pace had 15 points to lead Austin Peay as the Governors lost to Davidson Sunday 66-58 in their final game at the Women’s Basketball Invitational. The Governors finish the season 20-12.
Louisville advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Women’s NCAA Wichita Regional with a 68-59 win over Gonzaga. The Cardinals improved to 27-4 and return to action Saturday to meet either Belmont or Tennessee who play this evening.
Vanderbilt’s women continue play in the Women’s NIT this evening hosting Liberty at 7 pm in Memorial Gym.
