Grapefruit League: The St. Louis Cardinals doubled up the Houston Astros 4-2. The Cardinals meet the New York Mets today. The Atlanta Braves were a 3-1 victor over the Minnesota Twins. The Braves face the Tampa Bay Rays today.

Cactus League: The Cleveland Guardians edges the Cincinnati Reds 3-2. The Reds meet the Oakland A’s today and go against the San Francisco Giants tomorrow afternoon with air time at 2:50 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. The Chicago Cubs go against the San Diego Padres today.

NBA

Ja Morant had 29 points as the Memphis Grizzlies lost at the Atlanta Hawks 120-105. The Grizzlies are back in action Sunday afternoon at the Houston Rockets.

Bowling Green’s Terry Taylor did not score, but had four rebounds in 21 minutes as the Indiana Pacers edged the Houston Rockets 121-118. The Pacers welcome the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday afternoon.

NHL

The Nashville Predators return to home ice this evening welcoming the Toronto Maple Leafs. First puck drops at 6 pm.

Golf

Matthew NeSmith at 14 under par takes a two shot lead into Saturday’s third round of the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, FL. Adam Hadwin is second at 12 under while Louisville area native Justin Thomas is fifth at 10 under par. Thomas had a five under 66 Friday.
