The first Spring Training games take place today. Grapefruit League action has the St. Louis Cardinals meeting the Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves go against the Minnesota Twins. Cactus League action has the Cincinnati Reds meeting the Cleveland Guardians.

NHL

The Nashville Predators lost 5-4 on the road at the Philadelphia Flyers last night. Tanner Jeannot, Philippe Myers and Ryan Johansen each scored in the second period. Filip Forsberg recorded his 32nd goal of the year in the third period. The Predators welcome the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow night at 6 pm.

NBA

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are back in action this evening as they play at the Atlanta Hawks. The Grizzlies have won four games in a row.

Golf

There’ s a four-way tie atop the leaderboard at the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship after the first round of play. Defending champion Sam Burns is tied with Adam Hadwin, David Lipsky, and Jhonattan Vegas at seven-under par after shooting 64. Four other players are tied for fifth place at six-under par. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for ninth at five under par.
