The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after a suspect broke into an apartment and caused damage sometime Thursday night.
According to the report, an unknown suspect unlawfully entered an apartment on Summit Street sometime Thursday night and caused approximately $1,000 in damages, including putting holes in a wall and damaging household items. The suspect also allegedly left drug paraphernalia behind inside the apartment.
The incident is being investigated as second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.
