Todd Co. grand jury indicts restaurant owner for alleged sex crimes against minor

A Todd County Grand Jury has returned an indictment for sex related crimes on Wednesday against the owner of a restaurant in Elkton.

An indictment for first-degree sexual abuse, distribution of obscene materials to a minor, harassment involving physical contact, first-degree attempted unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act), victim under 16-years of age and criminal solicitation for use of a minor in a sexual performance against Enrique “Henry” Moreno. Moreno is the owner of El Torito Mexican Restaurant in Elkton.

The indictment stems from an investigation by the Elkton Police Department in December 2021 into complaints that Moreno had inappropriate sexual contact with a minor female who was employed at the restaurant.

Moreno will be arraigned in Todd Circuit Court on May 4. The investigation is being led by Officer Jakop Smith of the Elkton Police Department.
