The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday night on Forest Hills Drive.
According to a news release, officers responded to the 300 block of Forest Hills around 9:40 p.m. for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival they discovered the victim, identified as 19-year-old Naythan Nugent of Clarksville, who had a gunshot wound to the head inside of a vehicle. He was declared deceased at the scene.
At this time, it is believed that Nugent and suspect are acquainted and this is not a random act.
