NCAA First Fuur

Texas Southern defeated Texas A&M Corpus Christi 76-67 and Indiana topped Wyoming 66-58. Tonight’s games in Dayton, OH have Bryant meeting Wright State and Notre Dame battles Rutgers.

MLB

The St. Louis Cardinals announced that Jack Flaherty underwent a medical evaluation on his right shoulder on Tuesday. The results of the evaluation are not yet known. The right-hander went 9-and-2 last season with a 3.22 ERA.

The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that they signed first baseman Matt Olson to an eight-year deal worth 168-million dollars. The contract also includes a 20-million dollar club option for the 2030 season. Atlanta acquired Olson from the Oakland A’s on Monday for multiple prospects. The 27-year-old Olson hit .271 with 39 home runs and 111 RBI last season.

NBA

Ja Morant did not play due to back soreness, but the Memphis Grizzlies cruised by the Indiana Pacers 135-102. Bowling Green’s Terry Taylor had 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Pacers.

NHL

Four different Nashville Predators scored in their home win over the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 last night. Mattias Ekholm found the back of the net in the first period, then Tanner Jeannot and Eeli Tolvanen scored in the second frame. Yakov Trenin had a third-period goal for the Predators, who visit the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow night.
