One injured, one arrested following hit and run crash

One man was injured and another was arrested following a hit and run collision Sunday night on Fort Campbell Boulevard just north of I-24.

The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 20-year old Dalton Sibley of Hopkinsville was northbound about 9:45 p.m. when his car was rear-ended by a box truck driven by 36-year old Jonathan Smith of Hopkinsville.

Sibley hit his head on the steering wheel and was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital in Clarksville.

Smith allegedly fled the scene and was later arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office following a brief pursuit that ended at Huck’s on Lafayette Road.

He is charged with fleeing or evading police, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, speeding and he was served with a warrant for being a fugitive from another state.
