Eight families were displaced by a fire at an apartment complex Saturday night.
Clarksville Fire and Rescue was called to a fire at the Avondale Apartments off of Ashland City Road about 10:30 p.m. and were able to contain the blaze to two apartments.
All of the occupants of the building had to be evacuated and there were no injuries.
The American Red Cross was called in to assist the eight families needing a temporary place to stay.
Cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
