The Tennessee Titans today released left guard Rodger Saffold. ESPN reports the move is being made to open up some much needed salary cap space. Saffold was set to play in the final year of his four year, $44 million deal. The move will save the Titans $10.4 million.
The Titans also announced today they have agreed to a one year contract extension with long snapper Morgan Cox. Cox was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next week. He joined the Titans in the 2021 off season. Also signing a one year deal today with the Titans was backup quarterback Logan Woodside. Woodside appeared in five games in the 2021 season.
