Bond could soon be reduced for East 18th St. shooting suspect

Bond could soon be reduced for the man charged in a shooting incident that injured two people on East 18th Street the day before Thanksgiving last year.

Attorney Olivia Adams represents 34-year old Demario White of Hopkinsville and disputed Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling’s claims that there’s video evidence clearly showing he was the gunman.

Judge John Atkins agreed to reduce the bond from $50,000 cash to $10,000 cash or $20,000 in property, but says another hearing would be required to set conditions.

White allegedly shot 28-year old Devaunte Hampton in the leg at 1200 East 18th and fired a shot that grazed a female, causing her only minor injuries.
