Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is staying with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers said yesterday he is going to stay with the team next year, though he said reports that he signed a new contract are not quite right. That contract, according to the NFL Network, is worth 200 million-dollars over the next four years. The team is reportedly guaranteeing at least 150 million of that new deal.

Major League Baseball and the Players Association are still in talks as the lockout continues. According to USA Today, talks have progressed but the league is still hoping to institute an international draft and will eliminate draft picks compensation for free agents. The two sides still haven’t been able to agree on a 14-team format for the postseason as players favor a five-game initial series and ghost wins for division winners. The next deadline is set for this afternoon before MLB cancels another week of games.

Ja Morant led the Memphis Grizzlies with 24 points and eight assists in a 132-111 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans last night. Memphis welcomes the New York Knicks Friday night.

Ryan Johansen and Roman Josi both scored third period goals in the Nashville Predators 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars last night. The Predators are back in action tomorrow night hosting the Anaheim Ducks.
