A Flood Watch is in effect until 9 p.m. for Christian, Todd, Trigg and surrounding western Kentucky counties and there’s a slight risk of severe weather across our entire listening area.
Approximately 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected to cause flash flooding issues in the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas of western Kentucky through tonight and motorists encountering standing water are remined to turn around, don’t drown.
Meanwhile, severe weather will be most likely during the evening and nighttime hours and while damaging winds will be the primary threat, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Stay tuned to the WHOP Family of Stations for any potential weather warnings.
