Hopkinsville police have identified a person of interest sought for the Wednesday night fatal shooting of a man at Casey’s General Store on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of 16-year old Joshua Cotton, also known as Joshua Weston, should call 270-890-1300.
Hopkinsville High School held a moment of silence before Thursday night’s Second Region Tournament game for the victim, 19-year old Alijah Watts of Hopkinsville, who played basketball and football for the Tigers before graduating in May of last year.
As previously reported, officers were called to a shots fired call shortly after 6 p.m. at Casey’s and learned that the Watts had been shot while inside his vehicle and that he was able to drive away. He later crashed into two other vehicles and into a home near East 21st and South Virginia Street.
Watts was pronounced deceased at Tennova Health Hospital.
