Ky. adds 2,334 COVID cases, positivity rate at 7.73 percent

How Kentucky measures COVID-19 is changing, as there were 2,334 newly reported cases from Tuesday to Wednesday.

According to the update, things will look different on the Kentucky COVID-19 website—instead of show a map of the state incidence rate, counties have now color-coded guidelines they’ll be sectioned into that indicate low, medium, or high community spread. In the new system, Todd County is rated as ‘medium’, while Christian and Trigg are ‘high’.

The positivity rate fell once again, now down to 7.73 percent. There were 35 newly reported deaths, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 13,935.
