The woman charged with manslaughter in connection with the 2020 death of her teen daughter has a new attorney and appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday.
Patricia Conyers will now be represented by defense attorney Jason Holland, who requested a continuance Wednesday to allow him time to go over the evidence in the case with his client.
Judge John Atkins set a pretrial hearing for April 13.
An indictment for second-degree manslaughter was returned December 17 against Conyers, alleging she caused the death of her daughter by failing to provide her with appropriate medical care and by “failing to do what a reasonable person would do, knowing the child would not get better without a doctor’s care”.
