Boys: Hopkinsville defeated Christian County 60-58 in double overtime. The Tigers got 21 points from KC Cabiness, 16 points from Daisjuan Mercer and 11 from Keimarion Smith in improving to 21-6 on the season. Christian County was led by Derrell Bateman’s 21 points, Breland Morrison added 18 and Jordan Miles pitched in 11 as the Colonels fell to 10-22. Both teams will play in the 2nd Region tournament Tuesday night.
Girls: Hopkinsville defeated Christian County for the third time this season winning 61-57. The Lady Tigers got 19 points from Donisha Flowers and 10 points from Faith Dansbury in improving to 15-12. Christian County was led by Anaysia Bagwell’s 16 points with Mikayah Killebrew adding 12 as the Lady Colonels fell to 12-18. Both teams will begin play in the 2nd Region tournament Monday night.
