The Crofton Volunteer Fire Department has announced they will be building a new station.
Chief Tim Terrell says they currently operate out of two separate buildings with four truck bays total, housing six fire service vehicles.
He says the new station will have three large bays capable of housing six or more vehicles.
The new station will also have a meeting and training room large enough to hold 75 people.
It will be located at 118 East Main Street and Chief Terrell says they hope to begin construction in the next few weeks.
