Christian County advanced to the 2nd Region tournament with a 48-45 victory over University Heights. Jordan Miles two free throws with three seconds in the game sealed it for the Colonels. Miles led Christian County with 16 points with Derrell Bateman and KJ Vaughn adding 10 points each in improving to 10-21. University Heights got 15 points from Gavin Grubbs in finishing the season 9-15.
Hopkinsville cruised to a 71-22 win over Fort Campbell behind 12 points from DeBryan Johnson with Xavier Dowlen adding 11 with Antonio Williams, KC Cabiness and Isaiah Manning each adding 10. The Tigers improved to 20-6. Fort Campbell was led in scoring by Aiden Blaszkowski who had eight points as the Falcons finish 2-22.
Christian County and Hopkinsville will play in the 8th district final Thursday night at 7:30 in Tiger Gym.
