Twelve local organizations are reaping the benefits of the Planters Bank Season of Giving fundraising campaign, as it raised over $35,000 to go towards those non-profits.
According to a news release, the Season of Giving is a bank tradition that has a goal of supporting community organizations, and this year the funds will benefit agencies such as the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville, Men2Be, the Hopkinsville Imagination Library, Family Resource and Youth Service Center in Dawson Springs and more throughout western Kentucky and Clarksville, Tennessee.
Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy says, “Each organization we supported this Season of Giving supports children in each of our communities. Whether it’s providing shoes, food, or experiences, each of these 12 organizations make such an impact on our communities, and we’re so glad to be able to support them.”
Planters Bank worked with a local small business to produce two special custom gift items for the Season of Giving, with one Kentucky gift and one Tennessee gift, and sold in each Planters Bank branch. Planters Bank purchased the items outright, allowing 100 percent of the purchase price of those items to be donated to the Season of Giving organizations.
