Flood watch, severe weather threat for Tuesday

Western Kentucky and middle Tennessee are under a Flood Watch Tuesday and there will also be a slight risk for severe weather.

The National Weather Service in Paducah says two to three inches of rain on already saturated ground could cause flash flooding in all of the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas and rivers and streams could also be on the rise.

Damaging winds will be the primary threat with any severe weather, though an isolated tornado and large hail will also be possible.

Another round of heavy rain Wednesday night and Thursday could cause additional flooding issues in the region.
