Major League Baseball issued a statement Friday indicating Spring Training games will not begin until at least March 5th as negotiations are set to continue to end the current lockout. ESPN reports negotiations are expected to continue Monday after a 15 minute meeting Thursday produced nothing. There’s now a sense of urgency to get things resolved so the 2022 season can begin on time.

Joaquin Niemann at 16 under has a two shot lead on Cameron Young heading into today’s third round of the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is third at 11 under with Jordan Spieth and Adam Scott tied for fourth at nine under par.
Bernhard Langer at eight under 64 leads heading into the second round of the PGA Tour Champions Chubb Classic today in Naples, FL. Tim Petrovic and Robert Karlsson are two shots back at six under.
