UHA splits with Christian County/Tonight’s Games

Boys: The Blazers led by 20 points at one stretch in cruising to a 69-52 victory over the Colonels. Quinton Quarles led a trio of double figure scorers with 16 points, Gavin Grubbs had 12 points and Lemar Northington added 11 as the Blazers improved to 9-14 and finished district play 2-3. Christian County also had three players in double figures as KJ Vaughn had four three pointers among his 16 points, Derrell Bateman pitched in 15 and Prince Northington added 10 as the Colonels fell to 8-21 and conclude district play 3-3.

Girls: Christian County cruised to a 61-32 win over University Heights. The Lady Colonels had three players in double figure scoring with Anaysia Bagwell leading the way with 18 points, Destinee Catlett-Watkins added 16 and Mikayah Killebrew had 12 second half points as Christian County improved to 11-16 overall and 4-2 in district games. Breanna Daniel was the only double figure scorer for the Lady Blazers with 14 points as University Heights fell to 4-19 and finishes district play 1-4.

Tonight’s Games

Boys: Hopkinsville concludes its regular season hosting Muhlenberg County with the F&M Bank pregame show at 7:30 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.

Christian County has added one final game to its schedule as the Colonels travel to Apollo, Fort Campbell visits Crittenden County, Bowling Green travels to Evangel Christian, Henderson County hosts Owensboro, South Warren entertains Ohio County, Russellville goes to Taylor County and Trigg County hosts Madisonville.

Girls: Christian County visits Webster County, Hopkinsville travels to Crittenden County, Madisonville hosts Apollo, Todd Central visits Hopkins Central, Muhlenberg County welcomes Graves County, Paducah Tilghman goes to Lyon County and McCracken County hosts Calloway County.

B/G Doubleheaders: Greenwood welcomes Elizabethtown and Logan County hosts Allen County Scottsville.
