South Christian Elementary receives funds for families affected by tornadoes

The Christian County Public School System says families of South Christian Elementary school have received $8,000 in disaster assistance through the Family Resource and Youth Services Center Strong for Kentucky funds as they recover from the December 11 tornado.

The FRYSC Strong for Kentucky Fund was developed by the Family Resource and Youth Services Coalition of Kentucky, Inc. Donations have been collected from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Tara Toliver is the FRYSC coordinator at South Christian Elementary and says, “FRYSC coordinators work extra hard serving our children and families in hopes of making their lives better. When Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. asked, ‘What are you doing for others?’, I believe FRYSC team members answered with their service to our communities.”
