Western Kentucky defeated Southern Miss 87-77 last night. Hopkinsville High grad Jamarion Sharp had seven points, nine rebounds and six blocked shots as the Hilltoppers improved to 15-11. WKU welcomes Charlotte for a 7 pm tipoff Thursday night.
OVC: Austin Peay won its third straight game downing Eastern Illinois 62-54 at the Dunn Center. The Governors improved to 10-14 and are back in action Thursday night at 21st ranked Murray State in a 6 pm tipoff at the CFSB Center.
Meanwhile, Austin Peay’s women fell 60-57 at UT Martin. They return to action tomorrow night at Murray State.
