Local woman hurt in collision on Boulevard

A rear-end collision Monday afternoon at Eagle Way Bypass and Fort Campbell Boulevard sent a Hopkinsville woman to the hospital.

A collision report from Hopkinsville police says 71-year old Marilyn Faulkner of Hopkinsville was southbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard and stopped at the Bypass to allow a funeral procession to go through.

Approaching from behind was an SUV pulling a trailer operated by 49-year old Edward Harris of Clarksville, who unsuccessfully tried to stop and rear-ended Faulkner.

Police say Faulkner complained of neck pain and was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Harris was not injured in the crash.
