Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch says the city is off to a positive start in 2022 with the announcement over the weekend that Rural King is planning to open a store in the Bradford Square Mall while revitalizing that property for additional development.
The mayor appeared Monday morning on WHOP and says Rural King is purchasing the mall building.
While no timetable has been set, Mayor Lynch says it’s likely to be early 2023 before Rural King opens its doors to the public on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
The mayor thanked Christian County government and the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council for the partnership that helped make the Rural King announcement a reality.
