The Madisonville Police Department is investigating a shooting on West Broadway Street that sent a male victim to the hospital.
According to a news release, officers responded to 825 West Broadway around 6 p.m. Wednesday for reports for a shooting, and upon arrival found a male victim in the basement of the residence with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.
He was transported to Baptist Health Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition.
No suspects are listed and the investigation continues.
