Local law enforcement is getting a boost, as two new officers recently graduated from Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training basic training.
According to a news release, Kevin Quarles is set to join the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, and Jeremy Crawford joins the ranks of the Hopkinsville Police Department. The graduates of Class 523 received 800 hours of recruit-level instruction over 20 weeks, including topics such as patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, criminal law, criminal investigations, bias related crimes and tactical responses to crisis situations.
The Department of Criminal Justice Training provides basic training for city and county police officers, sheriffs’ deputies, university police, airport police throughout the state.
