Teen pleads guilty to role in robberies, shooting

A teen indicted for his role in multiple robberies and a shooting from January of 2021 accepted a plea deal Monday in Christian Circuit Court.

Danny Telfort pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, fleeing or evading police and other counts as part of a deal that Judge Andrew Self says comes with a recommended sentence of 10 years in prison.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling noted Telfort was acting in complicity with others to commit the offenses as the judge had Telfort admit to his role.

A woman was robbed of her vehicle outside the Oak Grove Walmart early on the morning of January 14, 2021, Luigi’s Pizza was robbed at gunpoint soon after and a Domino’s deliveryman was robbed and shot later in the morning in the area of Foxfield Drive and Pyle Lane.

A vehicle and foot pursuit led to the juvenile’s arrest.

Boling says the Commonwealth opposes probation and shock probation in the case.
