HCC nursing student awarded Kentucky Nurses Association nursing scholarship

Hopkinsville Community College nursing student Cynthia Toroitich of Clarksville was recently awarded the Kentucky Nurses Association Pennyrile Chapter Nursing Scholarship.

According to a news release, Toroitich is pursuing an associate degree in nursing, and is currently in her final semester. She has hopes of working in a Medical Surgical Unit after graduation.

Toroitich says, “I am so happy to have been chosen to receive the scholarship. This financial help will make the rest of my last semester comfortable, especially during these times when everything is so expensive.

She continued, “I decided to pursue nursing because I have a great passion in helping people. My joy would be to see and support my future patients through their recovery by giving high quality care. Sharing information on how to maintain good health will also be part of my responsibility.”

To be eligible for the Kentucky Nurses Association Pennyrile Chapter Nursing Scholarship, the nursing student must be a KNA student subscriber or KANS member that is enrolled in a pre-licensure program at an accredited School of Nursing located in Kentucky and have successfully completed one semester of nursing coursework. The student must also have an overall 3.0 Grade Point Average.
