CCHD report six COVID deaths, 645 new cases

The Christian County Health Department reported six COVID-19 deaths Thursday, along with 645 new cases since last week.

According to a news release, five of those newly reported deaths were unvaccinated, with only one partially vaccinated—the victims were four females ages 33, 55, 97 and 41, and two males ages 68 and 60.  They bring the death toll in Christian County up to 179.

The 645 new cases is a decrease from the week prior and puts the overall total at 16,640—of that 1,212 cases are considered active and 15,249 people have recovered from the virus.
