Christian County, Hopkinsville win while Heritage Christian loses Friday night

Christian County ended a 10 game losing streak as the Colonels defeated Calloway County 71-64 in overtime. Jordan Miles had 16 of his 25 points in the first half with Derrell Bateman scoring 15 of his 22 points in the second half with Breland Morrison adding 10 second half points. The Colonels are now 5-15 and host Warren Central Monday night.

Hopkinsville edged University Heights in 8th district action 60-55. The Tigers got 14 points each from KC Cabiness and Bubba Leavell with Daisjuan Mercer adding 12 as Hopkinsville improved to 13-4 and 3-0 in district play. UHA was led in scoring by Gavin Grubbs who had a game high 24 points with Quinton Quarles adding 11 as the Blazers fell to 7-10 overall and 1-2 in the district. The Blazers visit Lyon County Monday night while the Tigers travel to Madisonville Tuesday night.

Dawson Springs defeated Heritage Christian Academy 48-38. The Warriors were led in scoring by Carlos Robles with 13 points as they fell to 7-6 against KHSAA teams. HCA will host Trigg County next Thursday night.
