Positivity rate drops again, Ky. adds 15,822 COVID cases

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky decreased for the third day in a row Friday, as the state gained 15,822 new cases from Thursday to Friday.

The positivity rate dropped to 30.50 percent, down a full percentage point from the day before.  There were 34 newly reported deaths, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth since the pandemic began up to 12,890.

There are currently 2,453 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 446 in the ICU and 254 in a ventilator.
