A Hopkinsville man is now facing charges of two-counts of murder after he was served with a warrant by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday.
According to Deputy Chris Miller, deputies served a warrant for two-counts of murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon against 32-year-old Anthony Gaines of Hopkinsville.
The charges are in connection to the August 2021 shooting deaths of Kierra Wallace and George Gomez at Ashwood Village near Peach Street in Christian County. Gaines had previously been a person of interest in the case.
He is lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $1 million bond.
